The Regional College of Ski Instructors of Sicily is the body officially recognized by the Sicilian Region and by the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) for the representation, protection and promotion of the professional role of the Ski Instructor, for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding.

An institutional role serving quality and safety
Established in compliance with Regional Law No. 7 of 2010, the Board acts as an institutional interlocutor between the category of ski instructors and the regional authorities, with the aim of ensuring high standards of quality, safety and professionalism in teaching winter sports, also in a particular geographic context such as Sicily, where snow is a seasonal resource but of great tourist, sporting and cultural value.

Our Mission
Train new generations of ski instructors through structured qualification courses, aligned with national FISI guidelines and local needs.
Protect the professionalism of ski instructors, promoting their legal, social and economic recognition.
Enhance Sicilian ski resorts (especially on Etna) as places for sport, training and sustainable tourism.
Collaborate with regional institutions, ski schools, sports associations and local bodies for the balanced development of skiing in Sicily.

Our institutional role
The Regional College is an integral part of the FISI federal system, which recognizes in the Regional Colleges its operational arm for managing the category of ski instructors. In this role:
1. Organizes and coordinates qualification and refresher courses for professional development;
2. Ensures compliance with the Code of Ethics of the category;
3. Takes an active part in regional policies for winter sports, as shown by the fruitful dialogue with the Regional Department for Sport and Tourism;
4. Promotes the image of the ski instructor as an sports educator, ambassador of the mountains and guarantor of safety on the slopes.
