The College of Ski Instructors of Sicily organizes the training course for alpine ski instructors, recognized by the Ministry of Sport. The program is aimed at candidates who meet the required criteria and is structured in three phases: an initial selection through an entry exam, an intensive 90-day course spread over about one year – including theory lessons, technical training and teaching internship on the slopes – and a final qualifying exam.
The training program includes core subjects such as alpine skiing technique, teaching methodology, movement biomechanics, safety in the mountain environment, first aid and professional regulations.
At the end, qualified candidates are entered in the Regional Register of Ski Instructors in order to legally practice the profession. Post-qualification training, mandatory, ensures ongoing updating and specialization in the field.
